Hazing Information
Texas State University is committed to maintaining social and ethical responsibility for everyone and does not tolerate hazing by any group or individual affiliated with the university.
Participation in hazing activities is against state law and university policy. The university reserves the right to take disciplinary action against individual students and/or groups who are involved in hazing activities.

Potential new members were asked to be blindfolded and wrapped with plastic wrap (2-4 times) binding their arms to their bodies. Individuals had to use keys and/or body to “saw” themselves out of the plastic wrap.

During Big/Little ceremony Big Brothers and Associate members took turns paddling each other. Fight nights hosted. Associate members required to sell illicit drugs to make a profit for the colony.

New members were required to perform calisthenics during unsanctioned meetings outside of the Membership Intake Process (MIP) guidelines. New members were quizzed and required to complete specified calisthenics when their answers were incorrect or insufficiently loud. New members were blindfolded and required to complete tasks while being taunted and quizzed. Hazing occurred at various locations.

New members completed weekly tests on fraternity material that resulted in physical harm if the response was inaccurate (use of paddles, required "bows and toes" on bottle caps). New members blindfolded and required to drink unknown liquids, serve as "fireplace", "mop", and "toothbrush" pledge (resulting in required activities related to name). Required to run errands for actives. Hell Week - new members were not allowed to sleep, access to cell phones, access to food (unless eaten off the floor), and required to wear specific attire.

Hazing conducted by active members and alumni when providing membership bids - potential members instructed to keep eyes closed and jump into the river to retrieve an item. Individuals did not jump into the water. New Member A jumped and hit her nose on a nearby wall resulting in injury, blood, and pain. New Members C & D provided same instructions. New Member C jumped off an elevated platform resulting in breaking her leg in multiple places.
